I've never painted before. Can I really do this?

Absolutely! Our classes are specifically designed for beginners. We break down techniques into simple, manageable steps, and you'll be amazed what you create in your first class.

Do I need to buy supplies?

Nope! Everything is included - canvas/paper, paints, brushes, water, palettes, everything. Just bring yourself!

Can I bring my own supplies if I want to paint larger?

Definitely! We provide standard sizes, but you're welcome to bring your own canvas or paper (within size reason). We'll provide all the paints and brushes.

What if I need to miss a class I booked?

Life happens! There is will be a 50% credit if cancelled 12hrs before the lesson. No charge if cancelled 24hrs in advance. Full charge if no show or cancelled in the 12hrs leading to the lesson.

Do I have to drink alcohol?

Not at all! Brown Beard Brewing offers non-alcoholic options, and you're welcome to just enjoy coffee, soda, or water while you paint.

What should I wear?

Wear something you don't mind getting paint on, or bring an apron.

Can I bring a friend who's not registered?

Each participant needs to register for safety and supply purposes, but we'd love to have your friend join! They can register online or at the door if space is available.

What's the age requirement?

Any age is welcome. Classes are held at a tap house own by a brewery if you feel uncomfortable having your child attend a lesson there please reach out to me at michael@gildedlightstudio.com.

Can I take my painting home the same day?

Yes! Gouache dries quickly, so you can usually take your landscape painting home after class. Watercolors may need a few minutes to fully dry.
